A Massachusetts WBE Certification is given through the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), which works to increase opportunities for minority and female-owned businesses throughout the Commonwealth. The SDO currently certifies minority (MBE), Portuguese (PBE), veteran (VBE), and women (WBE) owned enterprises. Amongst a lengthy list of criteria, certified WBEs must be 51% woman (or women)-owned and controlled.
