Category Description: Gmund Colors Matt Papers
A product of world renowned Gmund Paper Mill in Germany, the Gmund Color System papers are made with quality, longevity and the environment in mind. This collection is comprised of 48 harmonious core colors that work well with each other. Paper has a matte finish with an ever so subtle texture similar to that of an eggshell. This is a premium brand paper that is archival, pH balanced & fade resistant.
If printing this paper at home, we have found in our in house print tests that the text weight is both laser & ink jet friendly, though the very heavy and porous 111lb cover works best with high end ink jet printers. Testing is recommended for use with consumer grade printers. This paper performs beautifully with conventional print methods such as letterpress, offset, thermography, engraving, foil stamping & embossing.

Customer Questions for Colors Matt Paper
QUESTION: What's the difference between 74lb card stock and 111lb card stock?
ANSWER: 74lb card stock is similar to the thickness of an average store bought greeting card. 111lb card stock is significantly thicker, more similar to a cereal box. 74lb card stock can run through most mid-range, consumer grade printers. 111lb card stock may be too thick for home printers. If in doubt, we recommend ordering samples to see, feel and test prior to purchase.
QUESTION: What's the difference between all the MATT shades of black?
ANSWER: From lightest to darkest black:
- Licorice Black - a lighter faded black
- Black Forest - a black with a subtle green undertone
- Ebony - a rich, classic black
QUESTION: What does Limba look like?
ANSWER: Limba is a white so bright it appears almost blue (think fresh snow or a pure white computer background). As with any of our papers, we encourage you to order samples to see in person prior to purchasing a full pack. This will allow you to determine if it is the right shade of white for you.
