Printing Information

If printing this paper at home, we have found in our in house print tests that the text weight is both laser & ink jet friendly, though the very heavy and porous 111lb cover works best with high end ink jet printers. Testing is recommended for use with consumer grade printers. This paper performs beautifully with conventional print methods such as letterpress, offset, thermography, engraving, foil stamping & embossing.

Customer Questions for Colors Matt Paper

QUESTION: What's the difference between 74lb card stock and 111lb card stock?

ANSWER: 74lb card stock is similar to the thickness of an average store bought greeting card. 111lb card stock is significantly thicker, more similar to a cereal box. 74lb card stock can run through most mid-range, consumer grade printers. 111lb card stock may be too thick for home printers. If in doubt, we recommend ordering samples to see, feel and test prior to purchase.

QUESTION: What's the difference between all your shades of black?

ANSWER: From lightest to darkest black:

  • Licorice Black - a lighter faded black
  • Black Forest - a black with a subtle green undertone
  • Ebony - a rich, classic black

  • QUESTION: What's the difference between all your shades of white & cream?

ANSWER: Choosing the right shade of white paper may be difficult. Our whites are described in detail below, but we recommend ordering samples to see subtle differences in person prior to purchase.

  • Limba - a white so bright it appears almost blue (think fresh snow or a pure white computer background)
  • Snow White - a classic bright white, pure and simple
  • Wedding White - a soft white (not bright bright, but not quite cream)
  • Wedding Cream - a subtle cream color with just subtle yellow and pink undertones
  • Antique Ivory - a classic, rich ivory with a warm yellow undertone
  • Gmund Matt
