Feedback From Customers Who Recently Purchased Items From This Category:

5/5- Excellent, I'd definitely buy from this seller again.

Recommend buying a sample before ordering a lot of the Paper, glad I did. The paper can only be printed by an ink jet printer, mine was unable to handle it but I found someone capable. Using the paper for wedding invites and it is soooo amazing, definitely recommend it if you are looking for something unique! Very quick shipping too!

Savanna Woodgrain paper is offered in four warm, earth tone shades ideal for complementing its own natural texture, as well as your natural design. Do you have Wood Grained Envelopes?

I ordered samples of your wood grained paper previously and loved it. For what we're interested in doing though, we'd prefer that the wood grained cardstock be an envelope. I can't seem to find that product on your website though the promotional material picture you show of the wood grained paper looks like it has an envelope (I think it might just be a pocket fold). A friend is an envelopements dealer and they've just started carrying the same paper. They have A7 envelopes with the wood grain. Your service was so prompt and good though (and you're a local company rather than one based in CA), I wanted to check with you first to make sure I wasn't missing something on your website.

- by Sarah H.

Probably the photos you saw on the site were wood grain pocket folds. However, you are in luck, because we now have wood grain envelopes in A4 and A7 sizes.

Can I make an envelope out of the woodgrain paper?

I am interested in the woodgrain paper you carry in the dark brown. My invitation is 6x6 and I was wondering if it was possible to make an envelope for it with the textured paper, or even a pocketfold.

- by Neha

You can definitely make your own pocketfolds or envelopes out of the woodgrain cardstock, however if you choose to construct envelopes, they are going to be extremely rigid, and you are going to have to hand score all of the folds in order to have nice clean folds. We would suggest matching the color of the paper using our 6 1/2 square envelopes in Gmund Chocolate Smooth. As for a pocket fold, if you are able to modify the dimensions of your invitation, we do have pre-made woodgrain pocket fold invitations in a 5 x 7 size.

Cutting the Gmund Wood Grain with Die Cutters

Does the Gmund wood textured paper cut well in machine die cutters like the Cricut or others? I know it depends on the machine, but have you received any comments on how well it works with die cutters?

- by Mary

We cut / die-cut the Gmund Wood Grain papers using industrial commercial equipment quite successfully. Although I am familiar with the Cricut Die Cutting System I personally have never used one. Therefore I am not qualified to give you real feedback on how this paper will cut. That said, I would assume if the Cricut Die-Cutter can successfully handle heavy 111lb / 300gsm textured card stock it should handle this paper.

Is the wood grain paper Ricoh copier friendly?

Is this paper suitable for a Ricoh upper end copier/printer? I believe our rep told us the copier would take up to 120 index - how does that translate into pounds?

- by Cynthia

We not know if the Ricoh machine will work and would suggest ordering a sample of the stock to test in the machine. According to the LCI Paper Weight Conversion Chart 120 index is equal to 80lb (216GSM) cover stock.

- by Beth

Savanna wood grain paper is only embossed on one side. All four paper colors are manufactured in this manner.

- by LCI Paper

GMUND Savannah wood grain paper

Is this paper textured like wood grain on both sides or only one? If only one, what is the texture of the other side?

- by Brigitte

The woodgrain is on 1 side only. The other side is a smooth finish

Printing on Wood Grain Paper

Hi, am very interested in your wood grain paper. I have a small printing company and have recently been asked by a couple of my customers if I can print on wood grain paper. I would like to know if I can get samples of each sheet that you have so that I may test it on my printing equipment to see how well the quality will come out. If I need to pay for the samples that will be Ok. Thanks.
