Video Description & Inspiration
Layered pocketfold invitations with stacked reception, direction, and response cards, such as the one shown here, are a modern and increasingly popular invitation style. Given the popularity of this style, LCI customers frequently inquire about getting that nice layered look for their own DIY pocketfold designs. In the spirit of the Spring season, I decided to create this festive floral layered pocketfold shown here to answer this commonly asked question for our customers.

Instructions for Assembly
Overview
There is no assembly needed for the Portrait Pocketfold itself, however, you will need to cut each individual card & the decorative layers from the 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock and Chiyogami paper.
After printing, your decorative Chiyogami layers will need to be adhered to the individual cards, as shown to the left.
1. Cut Individual Cards & Decorative Chiyogami Layers
First step is to cut your cardstock & Chiyogami paper down to the dimensions listed on the images below.
Note: For accurate, straight cuts it is recommended to cut your cardstock and Chiyogami with a new, sharp paper trimmer that has built in measurements.
2. Print Cards
To simplify the printing process, correctly sized, free Microsoft Word templates, in standard Arial font for each individual card are available. Look for the Download Templates above.
Note: You will have to set up custom dimensions in your print driver before you can print the cards. For more information on printing custom sized documents, please view the following video: Printing Invitations with Your Home Computer & Printer
3. Adhere Decorative Chiyogami Layers to Center Panel & Individual Cards
After your cards are printed, its time to decorate your invitation with your cut Chiyogami. You should use glue or double sided tape, whichever you prefer.
- Adhere Chiyogami strips to left sides of reception, direction, and response cards
- Adhere 4 7/8 x 6 7/8 inch Chiyogami layer to center panel of pocketfold
- Adhere 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch Invitation card on top of 4 7/8 x 6 7/8 inch Chiyogami layer in center panel
4. Insert Cards Into Pocket
To complete your invitations insert your reception, direction, and response cards into the pocket
Note: You may choose to insert your response card and envelope in front of, or behind your reception and direction cards. This is simply a matter of preference.
