Our website shows the assembled invitations to help our visitors get a feel for the look they can create. Although we show some layered kits with decorative clips or adhesive bows these are only suggestions. Please feel free to assemble these invitations in any method that you desire.

In most instances double envelopes are used for traditional wedding invitation ensembles. Pocketfold wedding invitations are a more contemporary style invitation that would be better suited for a single outer mailing envelope.

The color Beargrass is a pearl white with an iridescent metallic surface. It is considered white and not ecru. To make certain that this color works for you we recommend ordering samples before committing to purchasing a large quantity. It's easy to order samples on our website of all the papers you are interested in. Navigate to the products of interest and look for the "Samples" tab. Click add to cart and the samples will be added to your basket.

Yes, our pocket folds can be ordered separately as well as most of our invitation kits. Our staff of in house designers frequently pull together our various papers, vellums card stocks and envelopes to create attractive invitation and card designs. Its our way of giving fresh ideas to our customers. However we know that many of our customers have their own ideas and color combinations therefore we offer all the components of a kit separately. It is recommended that a sample of a completed invitation with all of its enclosures be brought to the post office for a clerk to actually weigh. Please note: The weight of an invitation is not the only variable that determines the postage due on your invitations. The overall dimensions of the outer envelope, although within standard weight requirements, may require additional postage. For example all square invitations mailed in the USA, regardless of weight, will require extra postage. So, it is always suggested to let the post office see the invitation ensemble before affixing postage. This will also give you the opportunity to choose custom stamps appropriate for your taste. The layers are held together by the decorative spiral clip. The invitation components are packaged & delivered to you separately so you can easily print the invitations. After printing you can easily assemble the invitations as shown on the website. See our Pearlized Layer Invitation Kits. Since many customers want to customize their invitations to suit their own taste we package & sell the decorative paper clips separately.

The vellum is pre cut to 3 3/4 x 9 to perfectly fit the invitation ensemble. Although this limits you to printing the vellum overlay 1 at a time we thought it would be better than having our customers try to cut the vellums to size after printing. By nature vellum is not an easy paper to cut therefore printing and assembling your invitations without the extra aggravation of cutting will give a more professional look.

Pick out an envelope size first, before choosing your invitation. This will save you the hassle of finding an odd sized envelope if your invitations are an unusual size. If you choose the envelope first, you will always be able to find an invitation card to match it. This rule holds true especially when you are cutting and printing your own cards at home.
