How would you word an invitation if one parent from the bride and the groom are deceased? For example, my mother is deceased, and my fiancee’s father is deceased, but we would like them both mentioned. My father and his mother are both living and would also be mentioned.
    Thank you!!

  2. JB says:

    Hi Jill,

You may want to start the invitation with something like,

“Together with our parents, we invite you…”

Then somewhere within the body of the invitation, you can mention that the bride is the daughter of [name] and the late [name]. The groom is the son of [name] and the late [name].

We hope this is helpful. Congratulations!

hi, i would you invite if both parents of groom deceased…

    • Kristen says:

      Hi Franko,

You could word the invitation so the bride and groom are inviting:

      Bride
      and
      Groom
invite you to join as they unite in marriage

You might also indirectly include the parents in this:

      Together with their parents
      Bride
      and
      Groom
      invite you to join

Finally, if the bride’s parents are paying for the event, you might use:

      Bride’s parents names
invite you to witness the marriage of their daughter
      Bride
      to
      Groom
son of the late groom’s parents names
