Wrap a Small Paper Band Around Closed Fans
Let’s be honest – before they are “fanned” out in all their glory, closed up hand fans aren’t all that exciting to look at, so we decided to jazz them up by wrapping a small personalized paper band around them!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Silk or Paper Fans (we’ve used paper here)
- 8 1/2 x 11 Paper – Text Weight (each sheet yields 18 1.25 x 3.5″ bands)
- Paper cutting tool of choice
- Paper Adhesive of choice
Here’s What to Do:
- Download print template for 1.5 x 3.5 small fan bands
- Customize template (Life Savers font shown here)
- Print bands on 8 1/2 x 11 text weight paper
- Cut bands
- Wrap a band around each fan and secure in the back where the two ends overlap
A Quick Snap Shot of How We Did It:

A Quick Overview

I want to purchase only the fan spokes. Can you tell me where I might find these for sale and/or do you sell them?
Hello I’ve got a school project to do do you know where I cam get the spoke of one of these fans from ?
Hi Chloe,
Unfortunately we do not offer the spokes, but you can probably do an online search for “bamboo fan spokes” and find something similar. Good luck!
