My order did not process why do I see a charge on my credit card?

Credit card processing is a 2 step process.

In step one, the Bill To information provided during checkout is passed securely (SSL) from our website along to the credit card issuing bank for verification. The return message from the bank will either authorize or decline the transaction as well as return other information including verification of the billers address (AVS)

On occasion, when a customer enters their credit card information during checkout, and the billing address that they enter differs from that which the bank has on file for that credit card, an AVS error message will be returned. Even though an AVS error occurs the issuing bank may still authorize the transaction.

If however the transaction is not authorized by the issue bank the transaction will be declined with no authorization

In Step 2, If an authorization code from the issuing bank is passed along to LCI, we will either accept or decline (all done behind the scenes) the transaction. In most instances if an AVS error is given LCI will decline the transaction regardless if the issuing bank gives authorization

For each authorization attempt the issuing bank will put the fund amounts into a pending settlement folder. The funds are held there typically for 48 – 72 hours, then the funds will simply fall off the card.

Although the amounts may show in your online account (realtime) the unsettled amount will not appear on your credit card statement.

If you receive an error message during checkout we suggest first making sure that the bill to information and card information match. If this is correct then we suggest contacting the issuing bank for verification.

To avoid pending transaction amounts on your card please do not attempt to process your card excessively. A receipt for each successful transaction will be promptly emailed to you.
