We understand that it can be difficult to make a decision about invitations and specialty paper on a web site. You can read a description about the paper, read all the available specifications, see photos and even watch a video, but there are certain items that you must see with your own eyes and touch with your own hands. That’s why we offer individual samples of most of our items. As you’re on our site browsing through our products, you can quickly add a sample to your basket by either clicking the Order Samples link or the Order Samples tab, depending on where you are on the site. Watch this video and learn the process. It’s easy.
If you want to see all the colors of a particular paper brand or product line, you’ll want to consider our specialty paper sample books and packs.

Hi,
I would like to order some sample double envelopes and RSVP envelopes. Is there any way I can order custom sized samples? Please feel free to email me back with an answer.
Thanks,
Nicole
Hi Nicole,
Thank you for your interest in our envelopes. If you are trying to find double envelopes to fit a certain invitation, please call us or send us a support e-mail with the dimensions so that we can discuss what the best envelope set would be.
Our response envelopes are a standard 3 5/8 x 5 1/8 size, although occasionally a larger 4 3/8 x 5 3/4 envelope might be in order. We do not actually produce custom size envelopes aside from the large selection that we carry on our site.
I need 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 size envelopes, white with silver lining. Do y’all carry that size?
Hi Shanna,
5 1/2 x 8 1/2 is not an envelope size we carry. Although it is not a popular envelope size, it is a popular invitation card size. Therefore, we carry a slightly larger envelope, 5 3/4 x 8 3/4 or A9 size, to accommodate it. This would be the closest envelope size that we carry. It is located in our Lined Envelopes section. Under Select Size, choose 5 3/4 x 8 3/4. Click on the Silver & White color swatch and you will see our A9 – 5 3/4 x 8 3/4 Envelope White Silver Lined. On the same page, you can click the Order Samples link to purchase a sample.
One more question.
Do you perforate your card stock for business cards
Yellow
Robert Mehaffie
Hi Robert,
Thank you for your interest in our card stock. We are not able to perforate our stock. An offset printer would most likely be able to print and cut our stock for business card purposes. I would suggest checking in with local offset printers in your area and inquiring about this.
I don’t want to pay over $10 for shipping samples. Is there a cheaper way for me to get them? Jan
Hi Jan,
I am not sure what specific samples you’d like to order, so I’ll just give a general response. Shipping is calculated on the weight of the items, the size of the items, your distance from us, and the shipping method you choose. Sometimes even a sample item may not be able to ship via First Class Mail. For example, if it is too large to ship in an envelope (larger than 8 1/2 x 11), we will pack it in sturdy cardboard. As a result, it may no longer quality for First Class but instead ship Priority or UPS. That is why in some cases, you may not see a less expensive shipping method available.
Please let us know if you have specific questions so that we can be more helpful.
I was interested in ordering a sample of the “Portrait Pocket Fold” from the builder section. I intend to order my invitations from here but I could not locate the button or tab to order a sample. I was interested in the A7 Radiant White Metallic Envelopes with the Silver A7 Portrait Pocketfold, and the Radiant White Pocket Insert Cards. If you can lead me in the right direction, I’d greatly appreciate it!
Hi Anna,
At the time of this writing, there is no way to order samples directly from the builders, but you can order them from their product pages.
First, go to the Portrait Pocket Folds page and click the Order Samples link. Then choose the color(s) you’d like to see.
Second, go to the A7 Envelopes section and choose the type of envelope you’d like. Then click the Order Samples link and choose your color(s).
Third, go to the Pocket – 4 ⅞ x 6 ⅞ Card section and choose the type of card you’d like. Then click the Order Samples link and choose the color(s) you’d like to see.
