Serene Blue Clover Announcement

This beautiful handmade baby announcement is made with three exotic Japanese papers in pastel blues and pinks centered on our sturdy serene blue card stock. With a few simple materials, you can make easily print, cut and assemble this card at home by following the simple instructions below. Our smooth tairei paper with a subtle scattering of silver fibers is perfect for printing your custom announcement text on a home inkjet or laser printer. The soft overlay of sheer pink tissue adds a nice finishing touch to match the clover patterned chiyogami paper.

Finished Size: 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Step One: Cut Card Stock

Start by cutting the 80# Serene Blue Card Stock to the dimensions of 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" with a rotary paper trimmer or exacto knife. You can fit two of these square areas per one sheet of paper.

Step Two: Cut Chiyogami Paper

Next cut the Chiyogami Clover Paper to the dimensions of 5" x 5" with a rotary paper trimmer or exacto knife. You can fit 12 of these rectangular areas per one sheet of paper. You may want to make your measurement markings on the back side of the paper to prevent the need to erase pencil markings later.

Step Three: Print Custom Text

Next you will prepare the text for the Tairei Light Blue Paper. In a page layout or graphics program, center your text and margins to fit within a square area of 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". You can fit two of these square areas per one sheet of paper. Make sure your top margin is no less than 1/2" from the top edge of the square area of your announcement.

Step Four: Cut Tairei Paper

Cut the Tairei Light Blue Paper to the dimensions of 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" with a rotary paper trimmer or exacto knife. You can fit two of these square areas per one sheet of paper.

Step Five: Cut Tissue Paper

Cut the Uzumaki Baby Pink Tissue to the dimensions of 4" x 4" with a rotary paper trimmer or exacto knife. You can fit 35 of these square areas per one sheet of paper.

Step Six: Layer Papers

Center the Chiyogami Clover Paper directly on top of the Serene Blue Card Stock. The Serene Blue Card Stock is slightly larger than the Chiyogami Clover Paper so you should have approximately 1/4" of Serene Blue Card Stock overhanging on each side. Secure these papers together at the top center with a very thin strip of double stick tape or with glue. Center the Tairei Light Blue Paper on top of the layered Chiyogami Clover Paper and Serene Blue Card Stock with 1/4" of Chiyogami Clover Paper overhanging on each side. Secure this layer to the other two layers at the top center with a very thin strip of double stick tape or with glue. Center the Uzumaki Baby Pink Tissue on top of the Tairei Light Blue Paper with 1/4" of Tairei Light Blue Paper overhanging on each side. Secure this layer to the other three layers at the top center with a very thin strip of double stick tape or with glue.

Step Seven: Coordinate With Invitation Envelope
