Is the Olala in your company name pronounced like “Ooh la la”?

Our name is pronounced just as it is spelled, “O-la-la.” Our favor cakes offer a certain “Wow” factor that is unique to the party favor industry.

Where is Wedding Olala based and how long has the company been in business?

Orbitel International, dba Wedding Olala, has U.S. headquarters located in Las Vegas, NV. Orbitel International has been in business for 10 years specializing in the manufacturing of favor boxes, favor cakes, and a multitude of other paper and printing products.

How did the company become involved with the creation of wedding and party favors?

Orbitel International started as a printing company specializing in packaging design. While printing is still part of Orbitel’s business, our company wanted to bring a new way of celebrating to the party favor industry. We believe in celebrating all of life’s events. Any occasion that allows us to be among loved ones and share a good time, we want to celebrate.

What is your role in Wedding Olala?

Everyone at Wedding Olala is a team. We have departments; sales, marketing, shipping, etc. but everyone works together to accomplish tasks and provide great customer service.

How involved in designing your favors are you?

Since teamwork plays such a critical role at WeddingOlala, ideas are constantly flowing. A passing thought from one employee may turn out to be our next big product. You cannot stop the flow of ideas, and everyone brainstorms together. We are all constantly thinking about the next direction to take, so everyone is part of the design process.

For someone that has no concept of what your amazing favor cake kits are, can you describe them?

Our favor cake kits are cost effective Do-It-Yourself items that offer a special touch to any celebration. Our patented cake “spine” fits the individual favor boxes tightly together so a multi-layered cake is formed. Our Favor Cake Kits come with all the pieces needed to assemble the cake; even the glue to attach the ribbons and bows! Our kits are available in single, two, and three tier cakes, so you can build a cake based upon the number of attending guests. We offer Favor Cake Kits for specific themes such as birthdays, baby showers, and weddings. We also have Favor Cake Kits that are not theme specific, but would work well for garden parties, baptisms, or graduation parties.

Our 2-tier Wedding Favor Cake Kit serves 50 guests. This favor cake’s all white pearl handle boxes and white bows match any color scheme and wedding theme. The kit comes with 50 white pearl handle boxes, 50 white mini bows, 2 silver heart ribbons, 2 patented cake spines, 1 silver bow topper, 1 glue stick, step-by-step instructions, and 50 love poems to include with each favor. It takes 47 favor boxes to form the cake. The 3 extra boxes can be displayed on the side of the cake. This way, guests know that the individual boxes are what form the cake. Guests can take their “favor slice” at the end of the event as a remembrance of the occasion.

You have some great instructional videos on your site that help people understand exactly what a favor cake kit is and how to assemble. Do your kits also come with printed instructions?

Absolutely. Each Favor Cake Kit comes with step-by-step printed instructions complete with pictures of how to assemble the cake. Let’s talk about your Cherry Blossom favor boxes. Tell me about the beautiful floral clasp that seems to come together on top of the boxes.

Our Cherry Blossom favor boxes are by far one of our best selling products. Each box has perforated edges which make for easy assembly. There are 4 petals that make the blossom on the top of each box. Simply fold the first 3 petals, one on top of each other, and the fourth petal gently “notches” underneath creating the floral bud on each box. These boxes are available in pink, fuchsia, and purple. Again, step-by-step instructions are included with any purchase.

Have you heard from people that use your favor boxes and bags in unique ways that you never intended? Are there any interesting customer stories you can share?

We are always delighted to see how customers use our product in unique ways. Many of our clients use the favor cake as part of the actual cake cutting ceremony at weddings. A real cake serves as the favor cake topper. Couples have the real cake made to match the colors and theme of the favor cake, and then cut into the real cake. This is cost effective because sheet cakes can be prepared for much less expense. Guests never know that their piece of cake did not come from an expensive multi-tiered wedding cake. This idea does not just go for weddings either. Birthdays, especially Quinceaneras, can utilize this money saving tool and still have an elegant cake display. We have also received wonderful feedback from our customers. In August of last year, Edward & Mary Valdez celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, the Golden Anniversary, and their daughter Theresa wrote to us,
