Corrie Feld is a marketing specialist and graphic designer who is using her blog, Invite Couture, to “provide tips, techniques and ideas for brides starting their invitation creation process.”
In her most recent article, My Favorite Online DIY Paper Vendors, she puts LCI at the top of the list. She says, “By far this is my favorite site for DIYers. Their paper options print well on home inkjet printers, and if there is any chance there is a product that might not be compatible they state so on the webpage. This is a great source for inexpensive pocket folds, programs, escort cards and more.”
We appreciate this high praise! Since we sell a great deal of our envelopes, specialty paper, blank cards, etc. to people who will be printing at home, we test our products on consumer grade inkjet and laser printers and then make the appropriate recommendations that are clearly stated on each specific product page.

Corrie prefaces the article by noting that not all invitation paper stocks are suitable for home inkjet printers. This is especially true for our popular metallic papers. For example, LCI sells a wide range of metallic specialty papers and card stocks including the Aspire Petallics and Stardream lines. Because of the metallic surface, an inkjet, which is spraying wet ink onto the sheet, doesn’t usually dry quickly enough and smearing can occur. However, many of these papers print beautifully with a laser printer. Some extra heavy card stocks are too thick for many consumer grade inkjet and laser printers alike. You will always find printing recommendations when you click into a product page at LCI Paper.
