Here is an explanation of the logos and terms that apply to Monadnock Paper Mills PC100 card stocks and envelopes

  • FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification assures that 100% post consumer recycled fiber was used to make this paper.

  • Manufactured Carbon Neutral – Monadnock purchases Verified Emission Reductions (VERs) on the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) to offset manufacturing emissions. In addition to carbon offsets, Monadnock has reduced its emissions by more than 40% in the past decade through clean on-site hydroelectric power generation and conservation.

  • Manufactured with Wind Power – Monadnock purchases Green-e certified Wind Power Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) to support the development of new wind-powered renewable energy generation. Wind power consumes no fuel for continuing operation, and has no emissions directly related to electricity production. Operation does not produce carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, mercury, particulates, or any other type of air pollution, as do fossil fuel power sources
  • Process Chlorine Free – No chlorine or chlorine derivatives are used in the manufacturing of these products.
  • Hydroelectric Power – Produces no waste or carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas.
  • Responsibly Sourced Fiber – certifies that all pulp is derived from sustainable sources and that proper forestry management practices have been used.
