Learn how to assemble our Blue Blossom Pocket Fold Invitation by following these step by step instructions:

Step 1 – Cut Chiyogami Paper To Make Layers:

In each package of 10 kits, you will receive 10 chiyogami sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 Chiyogami paper. You will need 5 of these to make layers for 10 invitations.

  • Using a paper cutter or scissors, cut 2 layers measuring 6 7/8 inches wide x 4 7/8 inches high out of 5 of the sheets.

Step 2 – Cut Chiyogami Strips For Response Folders:

Use a single sheet of Chiyogami to cut (10) 7 x 1 strips to border the left edge of the Response Folders.

For efficient paper use, which is always recommended, you can also use the uncut portion of paper from Step 1.

What To Do With The Leftover Chiyogami Sheets…
The remaining Chiyogami sheets in the kit can be used to make envelope liners for either the invitation envelopes or response envelopes, or you could cut 1 1/2 x 11 inch bands to wrap vertically around the finished Pocket Folds. See instructions on making Flowering Bronze Pocket Fold for an example of this band.

Step 3 – Adhere Chiyogami Layer To Pocket Fold

Using your favorite stationery adhesive, attach the Chiyogami layer that you cut in Step 1 to the middle panel of the Pocket Fold.
