Traditionally, Double Wedding Envelopes are considered proper etiquette for mailing wedding invitations. Many people wonder what double envelopes are, and why they are used. Simply, a double envelope set is made up of an inner and an outer envelope. The smaller envelope houses an invitation and response items and fits nicely inside of the slightly larger outer mailing envelope. During the rigors of mailing, the outer mailing envelope may get marked up in its travels, but the inner envelope and the invitation inside will arrive pristine for guests viewing pleasure. In this Ecru envelope set the outer envelope is unlined and measures 5 7/16 x 7 7/8. Inner envelope is unlined and measures 5 5/16 x 7 5/8.

1/5- Poor, I'd discourage others from this seller.

I ordered envolopes for my daughters wedding. The color stated was ecru and looked very much off white on website. They were much more on the creamy yellow/Ivory in color. The color was not true to the picture.

Response from LCI Paper:We do our best to represent color for our images. Image color will appear different on different monitors. If you are trying to match envelopes to a paper previously purchased elsewhere it is best to order samples first.

We ordered the ivory inside/outside wedding invitation envelope and the matching RSVP envelope. We weren't sure of the type we wanted and not knowing what all the descriptions were about so decided to order a sample. The sample arrived earlier than noted.When we looked at the sample it was exactly what we wanted.The theme for the wedding is country and our daughter wanted something simple and not white.The actual order took the week to get here but arrived very neatly packed.We usually don't order things online but decided to give it a try and glad we did.The price was within our budget after comparing the same thing at office stores.
